... Gelencser Chocolates treats gourmets thanks to a finely tuned know-how and creativity.
Success comes quickly, in 1984, Chocolats Gelencser opens a second shop in La Roche-sur-Yon, and is accepted in the prestigious Relais Desserts International, which consists of the best pâtissiers and chocolatiers in the world, recognized by their know-how, creativity, and quality of their products.
And with the Gelencsers, chocolate is definitely a family affaire. Patrick decides early on to become chocolatier : at 13 years old, he is already sure. He receives his degrees, does his apprenticeship in Libourne, then in 1990 discovers different techniques in Canada. Finally he is ready to return to show his talent in the family business, alongside his father.
The development continues, by way of a new shop in Les Sables d'Olonne, and since several years, Patrick Gelencser works with his wife Valérie : in 2002, he transfers the laboratory from Chantonnay to Roche-sur-Yon, zone Bell. In the new spacious factory, he describes himself as "a natural products chemist", and can make new creations with his team, in order to find THE recipe that everyone will love.
